Overview
Liposuction is generally approached not as a procedure that simply removes a large amount of fat, but as a way to reorganize the overall body silhouette by considering current body proportion, the characteristics of the fat-prone area, skin elasticity, side-to-side balance, and the desired body line together. In Korean body contouring clinics, it is often considered for localized areas such as the abdomen, thighs, arms, love handles, or double chin when these areas remain resistant to exercise and diet alone. However, the same treatment scope or method is not applied to everyone. The thickness of the fat layer, skin condition, body type, available recovery time, and desired image can all affect the treatment range and approach, and removing too much can actually lead to uneven contour, skin looseness, or weaker overall proportion. That is why the real goal is not simply the amount removed, but designing which areas should be refined and to what degree so that the overall silhouette looks smoother and more balanced.
